we shoo the crows back
to winter winds

the conversations to find

aware of dreams
coffee down the hallway
comes and goes

coloured windows
we turn to rainbows
in the pews

whistling train
a friend’s last wave
in distance goes

the visitors settled
on our family table
grandma’s hand knit lace
