my nap and hers
spring breezes

mountain stream
unfolding the tent
from my journey

waterfall pool
washing the dust off
to leave us there

a calf falls
breathes of a chill wind
drying the blood

out of the Pines
how unhurried a fox slips
into the fog

log cabin
the joy of wren songs
opening dawn

stepping on river stones
a flash
of rainbow trout

just pushing
the leaves and twigs aside
mushroom heads

camp-fire sizzles
our buttered mushrooms
in scents of the earth

parrots forage
their first born chick
clearing the nest out
