begins to bend
the river

light house beam
igniting the storm
aboard us

her pony tail
more bouncy
at the gym

first thaw
shifting the weights
of the forest

suddenly awake and tacking
the first breaker
storming us

start of night
the bats don’t know
they’re up-side down

blind kitten
searching for mum’s dug
then milking it

drink in hand
Laurel’s karaoke
in that little black dress

full moon
unoccupied
the kid’s tree house

beach tide
all a crab can fear
in and out of a gull
