Autumn leaves
driving over
wet bends of the road.

changing my view
of the puddle
lightning.

Mushrooms rise
from the dewy earth
its other hushed births.

After the rain
moonlight growing
in to mushrooms.

Boy’s tennis ball
the hallway vase
tipped to fall.

Winter fogs
the tightened pearly web
tightened again.

Old jailhouse walls
a rose-vine goes over
with the dawn.

Ripe tomatoes
blood warm in the glass house
the winter sun.

Long drive home
the sleeping tot’s doll
just nods and nods.

Early breakfast
an already summer dawn
baking the kitchen.
