spilling over stones

tail between legs,
in our pet’s fear
a hair’s-breadth of thunder

steel bridge-
in the city of lights
the rattled trains passing

season’s change-
through the open window
a butterfly- floats

warmed through
the cabin window
a snowflake- melting
