Cat-walk music
the out-rush of models
in the role clothes play.

Another fire fly
circling in the dusk
around us.

Leaves litter
the wind and I rake
against each other.

Wife’s garden
in her straw basket
our dinner picked herbs.

Midnight clouds
a moon spot
steps off shore.

The campfire glows
her birth stars pointed out
along my arm.

So gentle
the faint sea echoes
of the conch-shell’s ear.

A quiet read
warmer when the log splinters
near night’s end.

Silence
slumped in the kindergarten
with summer heat.

The concrete sets
adding the nickname
I had from youth.
