a faint mist gathers

All day alone
next door
their sunflower nods and nods.

Star spelled
fairy ferns sprinkle snow
to the breeze.

Windy church yard
the confetti spirals
dance with themselves.

Migrating geese
middle of the wet lands
middle of the year.

School boys pass
the dog’s bark pops
his eye balls out.

First buds
pulling her milk tooth
for the fairy.

Grandmother’s chair
her knitting needles clack
into the night.
